Here's a restructured framework for reflection—looking back at this year, then forward into the next:
This year: Who have I been? What patterns defined how I showed up—in difficulty, in success, in the ordinary days? What values did I actually live by, regardless of what I claimed?
Going forward: Who am I choosing to become? What character traits am I deliberately cultivating? What kind of person do I want to be in the moments that matter?
This year: What did I feed my mind? What did I learn that genuinely changed my thinking? Where was I intellectually curious, and where did I coast? What did I read, study, or explore?
Going forward: What do I want to learn? What ideas, skills, or subjects will I engage with seriously? How will I protect time for deep thinking?
This year: How did I treat my body? What was my relationship with movement, sleep, food, rest? How did I feel physically most days—and did I listen to what my body was telling me?
Going forward: How will I inhabit my body? What does sustainable health look like for me? What specific practices will I commit to for energy, strength, and longevity?
